Wangjing engineered this proprietary waterproof gaming set (available in Black, Red, and Blue/White editions) to deliver extreme durability for travel scenarios.
The project demanded precise UV offset printing on non-porous plastic , combining the traditional Mahjong experience with modern, industrial-grade materials.

Unlike standard paper core stock, this project utilizes 0.32mm Industrial-Grade PVC.
The Benefit: The cards are 100% waterproof and washable. The material features excellent “memory,” meaning the cards snap back to flat even after heavy shuffling, making them ideal for high-traffic or outdoor use.
Printing on a dark substrate requires specialized tooling. We utilized High-Opacity UV White Ink rather than standard CMYK.
The Benefit: This technique ensures maximum contrast. The white characters remain crisp and bright against the black background, without the “washed-out” grey effect often seen in lower-quality digital printing.
💡 Director’s Insider Note: Printing on PVC requires strict static control. If you are designing a dark PVC deck, we highly recommend applying a Matte Varnish. This prevents fingerprints and ensures the cards glide smoothly during play.
We provided a full turnkey assembly solution to deliver a retail-ready product.
The Benefit: We engineered the Midriff Tuck Box with precise tolerances to house both the deck and the velvet pouch without bulging. We also sourced color-matched D6 dice to ensure visual consistency across the entire set.
