Engineering Deep Dive: Why This Spec?

We selected these specific materials to balance durability with cost-efficiency for mass production.

1. The Stock: 350gsm C2S Art Board

• Feature: High-density core with double-sided coating.
• Benefit: Unlike standard 250gsm stock, this offers superior “snap” and recovery. The cards return to flat after bending, significantly extending the product lifecycle in a classroom setting.

Gloss Varnish: Vibrant Colors & Stain Resistance

2. The Finish: Water-Based Gloss Varnish

• Feature: A protective seal over the 4/4 CMYK print.
• Benefit: Seals the ink against skin oils and moisture. Crucially, it provides the right amount of friction—cards are easy to shuffle but won’t slide off a desk like high-slip playing cards.

3. The Structure: Reinforced Euro-Hanger

• Feature: Integrated header with a standard Euro-hole punch.
• Benefit: Engineered for vertical retail display. The reinforced header distributes weight evenly, allowing the deck to hang securely on standard peg hooks without tearing.

4. The Exterior: Gloss Lamination

• Feature: A thin layer of Polypropylene (PP) film on the box.
• Benefit: Prevents “white cracking” on fold lines and protects the packaging from scuffs during shipping and shelf stocking.

💡 Insider Note

For flash cards larger than 100mm, we strongly recommend upgrading to 350gsm (as seen here) rather than the standard 300gsm.

The added stiffness prevents the card from “flopping” when held by one corner, instantly signaling higher quality to the end-user.
